Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy · psychodynamic approach
Vanessa Werner
Statutory · private · self-payers — online and in person in Berlin-Wedding

I support children, adolescents and young adults — from infancy to the age of 21.
A psychodynamic approach (tiefenpsychologisch fundiert) means we look not only at what's troubling you right now, but also at what lies beneath. In German and English, at my practice in Berlin-Wedding or online across Germany.

Reasons
When psychotherapy can help
Children and adolescents can struggle in many different ways — in their behaviour, at school, with their feelings or in their relationships. Reasons might include, for example:
- Anxiety, separation anxiety and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Obsessive-compulsive difficulties
- Concentration & attention (e.g. ADHD)
- Sleep and eating difficulties
- Psychosomatic complaints
- Grief, loss and crises
- Traumatic experiences & transitions
Getting started
How getting started works
First contact
You get in touch by phone or email. In a short conversation we clarify your first questions.
Consultation
Together we clarify your concern and the billing route that fits you — statutory, private or self-pay.
Trial sessions
Up to six trial sessions to get to know each other and complete the initial assessment.
Therapy begins
Once all the formalities are clarified, we begin the therapy itself.
Costs
Clearly arranged — whatever your insurance
Whether you have statutory or private insurance or pay privately: billing for psychotherapy is clearly regulated.
Statutory insurance
Child and adolescent psychotherapy is a statutory benefit. Where there is a clinical indication, your statutory health insurer usually covers the full cost — with no co-payment.
Private insurance
Psychotherapy is generally reimbursable as guideline therapy and is also recognised by Beihilfe. Billing follows the German scale of fees for psychotherapists (GOP).
Self-payers
You can also cover the cost yourself — a straightforward, direct start to therapy with no application or approval process.
Trust & safety
A reliable foundation
Psychotherapy needs trust. That's why the framework and qualifications are clear from the very start.
